Orbix6.3SP111-AllAllAll Committed This is the latest version for this product line. Micro Focus Orbix 6.3 SP11

Micro Focus Orbix 6.3 SP11 Platform Release Availability Matrix:

Note on Virtualization:

Application virtualization software provide an abstraction layer that decouples the physical hardware from the 'guest' operating system to deliver greater IT resource utilization and flexibility. Micro Focus will support this version of Orbix on VMware vSphere (ESX / ESXi) version 4.0 and later, with our standard supported x86 operating systems as guests. Users must follow VMware best practices for guest operating systems, and users of Linux guests in particular should be aware of VMware KB Article: 1006427 (http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1006427).

Apart from the blanket inclusion of VMware vSphere (ESX / ESXi) 4.0 and later, the Micro Focus Customer Care Team will provide 'best effort' assistance with other application virtualization software environments but can only log product deficiency bugs if the problem can be demonstrated in a non-application virtualization software environment. If the problem/ behaviour is seen only in the virtualized environment, then it should ultimately be pursued with the VM provider and the Micro Focus Customer Care Team will assist to the degree possible in investigating the issue.

Note: A compiler and operating system point release (i.e. not a major release) will be supported as long as we have tested the prior major release.

Note: For all 32 bit platforms - Orbix supports WoW64 (Windows 32-bit On Windows 64-bit), thereby enabling 32-bit builds of Orbix to be deployed on Windows 64-bit. WoW64 is a subsystem of the Windows operating system that is capable of running 32-bit applications on 64-bit versions of Windows. The Bit mode of the compiler and the JDK needs to match the Bit mode for the Orbix product. For example an Orbix 32 Bit installation requires a 32 Bit JDK and a 32 Bit development environment irrespective of whether this is deployed on WoW64.

Note: Orbix 6.3.10 supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 version 14.0.25431.01 Update 3 or later versions. Support is not provided for earlier versions than Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 version 14.0.25431.01 Update 3 due to compiler issues discovered during testing.
