Platform Notes:

  1. The generic CPU names x86/Itanium/x86-64/EMT64 are used in platforms from manufacturers such as IBM, Unisys, Dell, Toshiba, HP and Sun. The important aspects of such platforms are the operating system and the processor. If these match the entries in the table, the associated product can be used without any problems. EMT64 and x86-64 processors run both x86 and x64 instructions, so when used with 32-bit operating systems they can support the related x86 32-bit product. The x86-64 and EMT64 processors are shipped under the brand names Xeon and Opteron.
  2. Based compatibility statements made to us by HP, Micro Focus products for HP/UX 11.22/11iv1.6 should run without problems on HP/UX 11.23/11iv2.0. Products built on HP/UX 11.23/11iv2.0 should run without problems on HP/UX 11.31/11iv3.0. The reference environment for those products remains unchanged.
  3. This product will not run on SuSE or United Linux systems. We have separate products for those platforms.
  4. Enterprise Server on SCO UnixWare does not include IBM CICSTM , IBM IMSTM and IBM JCLTM compatibility nor EJB/J2EE.
  5. On platforms that have combined 32/64-bit products, Enterprise Server functionality only exists in the 32-bit element.
  6. AIX 6.1 SP2 is now certified against Server Express 5.0. You must have AIX 6.1 SP2 installed.
  7. Based on Oracle's compatibility statements, http://www.oracle.com/technologies/linux/certification.html Micro Focus products for Red Hat x86, x86-64 and Itanium should run without problems on Oracle Enterprise Linux 4 and 5. The reference environment for those products remains unchanged.
